Derek Merriweather
Derek was born in Atlanta, GA. In the most recent years he has chosen to entertain crowds. Derek has performed in the 1996 Paralympics Opening Ceremonies, Dance Athens (2001, 2002, 2004), Ballroom Magic (2004, 2005), and the UGA Ballet Ensemble's Spring Concert (2004). Prior to graduating from UGA with a B.B.A. in Finance in Dec. 2004, Derek was a UGA Cheerleader for three years, was a member of the UGA Ballroom Performance Group for two years, and was an original member of the UGA Breakdancing Club. Through his active participation in various performance groups over the years this has allowed him to build a network of dance instructors to serve the Greater Atlanta area. Derek's interest in hip-hop performance has grown over the past six years, and he is currently working on another hip-hop project adjunct to his ballroom endeavors. His dance background includes hip-hop, ballroom, breaking, and pas de deux. This diverse background has given him the ability to create unique routines with unprecedented stylings.
We have additional male and female instructors available for whatever your needs may be. We can provide one couple of performers or even up to 8 couples if necessary.
