Computer Programming
A computer programmer writes, tests, debugs, and maintains the source code for a computer program. New programs are always being created, and old programs always have to be maintained. A computer programmer could be someone who writes the code for the newest computer game on the market or someone who types up the html source code to a website.
The job field for computer programmers is still a very large field. The competition between programmers for jobs is growing considerably tougher as the years go on. A flood of programmers into the job market has made this field somewhat undesirable in recent years, but it is definitely a career that attracts creative people.
Salaries for computer programmers generally start at forty thousand dollars a year, and increase depending on experience, certificates, and degrees. Many programmers can find themselves making dramatically more than the base salary if they have the dedication to keep up to date with the ever changing technology and programming languages.
