Personal Information

My name is Tasha Evette Dahlin, and I have grown up in Marietta, Georgia pretty much my whole life. I am a junior at Kennesaw state university majoring in business management with a minor in business law. To be completely honest I am not exactly sure where I want to take my degree when I graduate, but I figure at some point the road will take me where I need to be. Growing up I have always loved music and wanted to pursue a singing career. I have sung any genera from opera to country. I have taken singing lessons for many years, and I could say it’s probably the one true passion I have in life. In the past I have had the opportunity to sing for weddings, funerals, charity benefits and championship games. For years I was in contest and had even had the experience of trying out for American idol twice. After high school I decided to hold off on singing for awhile to continue my education. I always wanted to have a backup plan in case singing didn’t go far. Graduating from college has always been a goal of mine and I decided that my pursuing of singing could stay on hold till after I graduate. Going into my fourth year of college now I still sing on my spare time, but now realize I see myself as in more of a business field. Since I do enjoy music so much now I am thinking about trying to work for a Record company or something towards that direction. Having had a job since I was sixteen I have always had a hard work ethic. Managers I have had in the past have always complemented me and have moved me up. Leaving jobs I have been asked to come back with better pay and scheduling. Knowing that no matter where I go I will work hard and do my job I know I will have no problem in the future completing the goals I have for myself.

Professional Information

My professional career started when I was sixteen at a restaurant named Cherokee Cattle Company. I was hired as a hostess and eventually moved up to head hostess and trainer. Once turning eighteen I began to waitress. This job taught me great communication skills and how to deal with all types of personality. About a year ago I was hired at a new restaurant called Marlow’s tavern where I again am a waitress. This company however taught me even more about communicating with costumers and or workers among me. After now being one of the most qualified servers I have to be a leader to those who are just learning. I apply my skills from my jobs with dealing with so many different personalities at work to my everyday life style now. I feel as though my career as of this far has taught me things that I will use for a lifetime. My role in the group is to be the formal report coordinator. I am qualified for this role because I have had many experiences with Microsoft word and putting papers together. Being the one that will put everyone’s research into one paper I feel will be easy for me because I like to hear different people’s ideas and make it into one that everyone will like. I feel that my communication, leadership and application skills that I have learned from my career those far will help me and my groups final project come together as planned.
