My Personal Biography: I am currently in my third year at Kennesaw State University. I am studying business right now in order to later transfer to The University of Georgia and get my degree in Interior Design. The reason I am taking business classes is because one day I hope to own my personal interior decorating business. I would stay at Kennesaw State however the University does not offer my major. My biggest priority at the moment is school because I would like to get my grade point average up. My biggest goal is to once again be eligible for the HOPE Scholarship. I am a very focused person with high expectations for myself and I can’t wait for my future!
My Professional Biography: For this semester - Write a Professionally I am a hard worker. I am an extremely focused and motivated person. My skills are pretty basic. Through working in a restaurant and at a golf course I have picked up many skills along the way. I work well with people and I am good at hospitality considering I in both jobs the main purpose was making the member or the guest content. I love meeting new people so these businesses are perfect jobs for me. Also I have learned organization skills through both of my jobs by keeping my work area neat enough for others to work around me or with me. I’m definitely ready to expand my abilities and BISM 2100 has absolutely built more skills in computers.
My Work Breakdown: In order to start my webpage I saved Professor Mayani’s example webpage as an index file to use as a template. I named this file index.htm so it would be the default page that would open at my web address. Then I opened this template code in Notepad, I modified the html code to personalize the page and add my own information. The first I changed the title of the page, my own name, and my team’s name by locating the line of html code that included the text that showed up on the example webpage. As a team, we changed the background color of the page and the font style from Times New Roman to Sylfaen. We also added a line of code at the very top of our page to include a .gif picture of our team logo. The picture on Professor Mayani’s page was of her and friends, therefore I changed the image code that was written for her picture to reflect the name of my own picture, which I would later upload to the html folder on my web space. I also changed each of the three existing links; the first two I linked to websites about podcasting in education, which is my assigned topic. The third link I changed to an internal link to our team’s Operating Agreement, which links to a Word document file within my website instead of a separate website on the internet. After modifying these links, I also added three separate links to each of my team members’ webpages, under the heading of our team name. Lastly I modified on the html code was to add the text for my personal and professional biographies, as well as this work breakdown for the assignment. After all of the code was written, I uploaded four files to my web space on the students.kennesaw.edu server using an FTP program: my index.htm file, which contains all the html code; two image files, our team logo and my personal picture; and our team’s Operating Agreement Word document.
