Biography: Sheila Parast

Sheila was born in Houston, TX and has aspirations to become a Real Estate Attorney. Born into a Persian family, she has the best of both worlds; the Persian culture, and the American. She is currently a Junior at Kennesaw State University, majoring in Business Management, with a minor in Business Law. Sheila is very interested in real estate and in law, thus making the decision to go into Real Estate Law an easy one to make. She worked at a law office for 2 years and has a basic knowledge of law. After three years of college Sheila has maintained her HOPE scholarship. She is very active on campus and has been a Resident Assistant for two of the three years she has lived on campus.

Sheila plans on continuing her success at Kennesaw State University and keeping the HOPE scholarship until graduation. Her family keeps her accountable to her studying and involvement with on campus activities. Her commitment and dedication to her schoolwork is apparent and helps her better relate with her residents at University Village. The residents know they can look up to Sheila as their RA and that they can count on her for academic advice, studying tips, or simple things like how to cook or do laundry. Sheila thrives on helping others and is a very well rounded individual. Her number one priority in college is to be a student, and a good one at that.

Team Role: Presentation Coordinator

Sheila's role in this assignment is act as the Presentation Coordinator and to assess the group while forming the project. She will choose the organizational method to be used and also assign which team member does what during the presentation. Sheila will set up the presentation slides and contribute to the group to the best of her ability. She will also compile the other team members writings and research to incorporate into the presentation.

Sheila possesses the leadership skills to fulfill this position and will strive to do the best job as Presentation Technologist. She will put together rehearsals and and will delegate the specific roles and timings for the other members in the group. She will also make sure each slide transition is smooth and the topic is consistent throughout the presentation. Being the Presentation Coordinator, Sheila will go above and beyond to make sure the presentation looks its best and is free from any technical or grammatical errors.
