KSU Email Forwarding

This page shows how to setup a gmail to fetch your KSU student email (essentially the same as forwarding your KSU email).

Feb 11, 2007:

Step 1: If you don't have a KSU net-id AND a gmail account then get one of each and come back. And it appears that you no longer even need an invite to get a gmail account, so no excuses now.

Step 2: Login to your gmail account and click on "Settings" in the top-right of the page.

Step 3: Click on "Accounts" and scroll down to where it says "Get mail from other accounts".

Step 4: Click "add another mail account". It should pop-up in mini-window and ask for the email address of the other account.

Step 5: Enter your KSU email address and click the "Next Step" button.

Step 6: Here's the important page. First make sure you spelled everything right and enter your password (unless you don't trust google or for some reason you don't hate logging into your KSU account...)

Make sure you have it set to port "995". If you don't want to take my word for it then rtfm.

Last, if you want a copy of your mail to STAY ON THE KSU MAIL SERVER, then make sure you check the box where it says "Leave a copy of retrieved messageon the server."

Step 7: Click "Add Account". Now whenever you sign into your gmail account, it will automatically fetch your email from your KSU account. All done, enjoy.
