Podcasting is the distribution of multimedia files from the Internet to subscribers who can listen to or view the files at their convenience.  Podcasts can be stored on a computer or a mobile device, such as an MP3 player. The RSS data format is used for automatic and frequent updates of the downloading content.  

As a fairly new technology, podcasting is already successfully in industries such as radio talk broadcasts and news reporting.  Podcasting is quickly attracting attention across the country, and holds vast opportunity for education and business, providing on-demand access to limitless content.  Podcasting offers new ways to deliver information and entertainment, and involves a technology that is simple and convenient to use.   While research continues to be conducted, there are few challenges that face the technologyPodcasting is prevailing up to speed with our ever-changing technology.

“Does academic podcasting improve the student’s class performance?” While research has not been able to take a side, podcasting has proven to make the students educational career more convenient, which ultimately affects learning in a positive way.  Despite the fact that most older students own an MP3 player, the majority choose not to listen to podcasts on their personal computers on their MP3 players.

.: Solution

This will change as the production production of information becomes more available. The figure below indicates the growing trend in the use of podcasting both in the past and as predicted in the future.  Podcasting is the youngest service the Internet offers, and it is the future in leading technology.
