Biography

My name is Megan McConnico Gant and I am 22 years old. I am currently a senior at Kennesaw State University working on finishing my Bachelors Degree in psychology. My prospected graduation date is May 11, 2007. I am a senior member of the 2007 Kennesaw State softball team. I am a catcher and have been with the Lady Owls for all four years of my college career. I have been playing softball for almost eighteen years and I still love the game. After I graduate, I plan on working in pharmaceutical sales and have a desire to still be associated with softball in some form or fashion. I would love to coach and mentor young girls to not give up on their dreams.

When I am not working on school work or on the softball field, I love to sing and write. I have been an avid fan of all types of music, thanks in large part to my father. My mother and father are still together and have raised three girls. My older sister is a high school English teacher and my younger sister is about to graduate high school and attend Auburn University’s pharmacy program. My parents have always told us to follow our heart and never give up on our dreams. I have two major dreams that I would like to accomplish someday. I would love to receive my Ph. D in clinical psychology and be a sports psychologist and I would love to sing on Broadway. Singing is a simplistic outlet in which I would love to do professionally if ever given the opportunity.

 Job Description

Within my group, my role is of the researcher. Being a psychology major, this job comes very easy to me due to the fact that for four years I have done nothing but research and interpret that data found. It is my job to find the best articles that validate our perspective. Researchers have a role in protecting the information that is found so that any information cannot be compromised by other individuals. They also have an obligation to give credit where credit is due. If any information that is found is not of original intent, the researcher must give credit to the original author of the information.

Another job of the researcher is to form an outline for the paper based upon the information found as well as to educate other members of the team on the research material. The researcher should familiarize themselves with all aspects of the topic and choose the articles that pertain to the topic. It is important to remember that even if an article does not validate a perspective that a group is taken, it is beneficial to have all aspects of the research; therefore, if research counter acts a perspective taken, it does not mean that, that perspective is wrong.
