Lisa N. Samples
Biography:
I am originally from Upstate New York. I lived in Florida for 11 years and moved to Georgia about 6 years ago. I am married and have two children, Ethan (12) and James (2). I began attending Kennesaw State University this session as a transfer student from Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida. I have been working in the public sector as a Human Resources Manager for a Biotech / Pharmaceutical company in Atlanta, but decided it was time to finish the degree I started over 20 years ago.
I am majoring in Business Management, with a minor in Human Resources. My plan is to finish my degree in the next two years and return to the workforce as a Director of Human Resources. I prefer to find a smaller company where I am able to utilize the different skills I have (and will continue) to gain while at KSU.
Team Role:
My role in this project has been that of Project Manager. As Project Manager it has been my responsibility to make sure things run smoothly. I have done this by setting up deadlines, sending out emails, sending reminders about important dates and meetings, and maintaining continuous contact with my teammates.
As Project Manager I have helped other members with their assignments when they seemed to get overwhelmed and provided direction when they were confused. I helped set up the design of our webpage and helped format our formal report. I also have the responsibility of making sure our formal report is submitted to turnitin.org. I am also responsible for writing the conclusion for our formal report, creating this website, and maintaining the accuracy of our Operating Agreement.
