Katie Van Ewyk's Bio

My name is Katie Van Ewyk and I was born in Marietta, GA. I have lived here my entire life and I attended Pope High School. I played tennis pretty much my whole life and received a tennis scholarship to Western Carolina University. I went there my freshman and Sophomore year and enjoyed it, but ended up transferring to Kennesaw for academic reasons. I thought I wanted to attend pharmacy school, but later on changed my major to economics. For awhile I worked at CVS in the pharmacy, but I recently quit and now work as a receptionist in an office. I have two older brothers. One is a pharmacist who lives in Las Vegas and the other one is a teacher at Harrison High School. In my spare time I just like to have a good time with my friends.

My job in my group is the lead researcher. The majority of the work I do will deal with researching different topics. In order to be an good researcher I have to know how to surf the internet effectively. I will have to be able to locate academic articles easily. One of the most important jobs of the researcher is to make sure everything is cited and refereced properly.
