Personal Biography:
I am a full-time student at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. I plan to major in accounting and minor in applied mathematics. I expect to graduate in December 2010, after which I plan to gain one or two years experience in public accounting before returning to school to earn my masters. Once I have earned my masters, I will have the experience and college credit hours necessary to take the CPA exam. This certification will open up more doors for me within accounting and allow more opportunities for career advancement and higher pay. I have chosen this major because I am very good in math and want a career that will allow me to earn enough to provide my future family with the lifestyle that my parents were able to give me. There are many options available for an accounting major and I plan to see where such a high demand employment field will take me. Professional Biography: I am currently a Supplemental Instruction leader at KSU. I attend a College Algebra class (for which I am not enrolled and do not receive college credit), assist the professor, and conduct my own study sessions for the students outside of class. I have experience in tutoring various levels of mathematics, pet sitting, and babysitting. I have one year experience as an assistant groomer at the PetCo grooming salon in Acworth, GA. I scheduled appointments for customers, filled out and filed paperwork, and bathed and brushed dogs. I also have done volunteer work with Jennifer’s Pet Rescue. Other previous work experiences include customer service and sales at Best Buy and Circuit City. I worked at Best Buy for one year as a cashier. I promoted Reward Zone memberships, credit cards, product protection plans, and additional accessories and services. At Circuit City, I worked at a Sales Specialist. I worked mostly in the music, movies, and games areas of the store when I assisted customers in finding what they needed, answered questions, provided solutions, and sold accessories and protection plans. I also helped set up displays and maintain store appearance. For additional information, please view my resume. Work Breakdown: The original source code for this website was taken from Professor Rifkha Mayani’s website. Most changes were made using hypertext markup language (html) in notepad, and a few additional changes were also made in the program Dreamweaver. The original source was first opened in notepad where we changed the titles, names, and picture. Picture sizes had to be adjusted according to the chosen picture. We changed the background color and then changed the link colors and text colors to coordinate with our chosen background color. Font sizes were changed, especially to make the links smaller, and the links were changed to our own chosen sources for podcasting. The webpages of other group members were linked to each member’s page using a linked picture and name. All group member pictures were assigned the same width and some were cropped in Adobe Photoshop CS2 to make the pictures proportionate when set at the same height. Table borders were increased using html and the overall table width was slightly increased. The cell sizes were then adjusted using Dreamweaver so that the cell containing the picture would fit perfectly around the picture. A font family was also chosen and applied using Dreamweaver. After all editing was complete, the files had to be uploaded to the web using Secure Shell. The index.htm file as well as any picture files and the operating agreement file had to be transferred in order to be viewed on the web. The operating agreement was then linked below the podcasting source links. Any changes that were made from that point on required retransferring the updated file to the web. For optimum viewing, this website should be viewed using Mozilla Firefox.
