With podcasting the user can listen to data anywhere and at anytime he/she chooses. Podcasting is widely used for entertainment purposes such as listening to music i.e. the I-Pod, radio broadcasting and communicating to those individuals who lack sight. Through the use of the internet, it is common for people to get their points of view heard through pod-casting; this allows them to reach a larger audience that they otherwise would not have access to. It has become very popular in educational training as more educators at all levels have chosen to introduce this technology into their curriculum. At some universities it has been the main staple of on-line teaching. It is also a very useful tool for businesses to keep abreast of the technological advancements today. Businesses no longer have to send out paper advertisements to people who they are trying to reach, but can now broadcast this through pod-casting. In general, pod-casting’s technology is rapidly becoming popular and is changing the way we communicate with each other. |
