Personal Biography: I am currently a Business Marketing major at Kennesaw State University. My goal is to graduate with a marketing degree gaining experience along the way through internships and co-ops. After graduation, I plan on getting my master’s degree in marketing followed by a successful job in the field. I am determined, persuasive, and motivated by a challenge. Marketing has become a passion of mine and I look forward to learning more about it every day. Professional Biography: I find communication to be most effective when done frequently. Our group does a good job at keeping in touch with one another through e-mails, numerous chat room meetings, phone calls, and verbal reminders. I am very familiar with Microsoft Word and am slowly gaining skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. In a leadership role I tend to make sure everybody works as a team, working at the best of each individual’s ability. Work Breakdown: Many steps were taken in completing this webpage assignment. At first I had to familiarize myself with view/source and changing the html codes in notepad. After mastering these skills I was able to start changing the webpage. The title was changed to something that reflects the current semester and year, i.e. my topic for our research assignment, “Podcasting Technology”. “Team Name” was changed to “Group Four”. I replaced the instructors name with my own. The font was changed from Times New Roman to Arial. The font color was changed to white by adding “color: white” to the source code. The background color was changed to blue by searching google images, blue background, and saving it as a jpg file. Once saved, I inserted the file code into the html document. Link colors were changed from maroon to yellow. I changed the picture titled “116.jpg” to my own picture labeled “karapic.jpg” and uploaded it separately through FTP. I also changed the height of the picture from 178 to 350. The table size was changed from 483.75 to 800. Three links were added to the index page. The first external link was changed to http://techessence.info/podcasting, the second external link was changed to http://www.cueblocks.com/articles/rss/podcasting-technology.php. The third link was an internal link. I replaced “Rifka community activities.doc” with the file of our team operating agreement as a word document. I made sure to put a link on the operating agreement to travel back to the homepage. I published the files using Secure Shell FTP by selecting files from my storage place on my local machine on the left side and uploading them to the server on the right side. I made corrections and improvements by returning to the index.htm file on my computer.
