Jakia Ragland is from Rochester, NY but I currently live in Kennesaw, GA. She currently attends Kennesaw State University as a junior. She is an Accounting major and plans on working for an Accounting Firm after graduating. Also, she plans to pursue my Master’s Degree after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree. This of course would not be possible without the level of education she is receiving at Kennesaw State University. This education will prepare her for my career in Accounting as well as in life.

Jakia likes to travel anytime she can. She would love to travel around the world after she graduates. She also likes writing poetry and playing basketball and running track. She has two sisters and one brother, two elder and one younger.

 Skills and Talents

She is a very hard worker and prefers to work with others who are also hard workers. She does not like to procrastinate because there is no time to check for errors or fully develop your ideas at the last minute. Jakia is a very organized person who tries to set an agenda before she start on a task so that it gets done properly and in a timely manner. She is a great team player and loves working with others who have the same goal in mind. Jakia also tries to help out others as much as she can.

She is an Accounting major at Kennesaw State University. As an Accounting student she has become efficient at Microsoft Excel as well as Microsoft Word. Jakia is very good putting projects and presentations together. She has learned how to put all types of information into different types of graphs to show the difference between variables.  She is also a great speaker and knows a lot about giving a good presentation.

  Semester Goals

My three goals for the semester are:

1.    Studying at least a week before each test so that.

2.    Not putting off any assignment to the last minute.

3.    Try to learn the information that is taught opposed to memorizing the information for the test.

How I know that my goals are being achieved

1.    I know that my first goal is being accomplished because I will have better grades on my test.

2.    As I get assignments to start working on them immediately. I know that this goal is being accomplished because I will not have piles of work built up that is due the next day.

3.    I will know that this goal is being accomplished because I will begin to use and apply the information taught in class to other areas in my life. Also I will begin sharing information with other people.
