Banner Routes: GA 38 Spur (Cairo), GA 38 Spur (Blackshear), GA 38 Connector (Hinesville), GA 38 Loop (Hinesville)

Multiplexed with US 84 its entire length, SR 38 extends nearly the length of Georgia from southwestern Georgia to Hinesville. Originally, the route was partially multiplexed with US 82 before it was relocated.  In addition, SR 38 once extended east of I-95 independent of US 82/84 to dead end 10 miles east of I-95 southwest of Sunbury.
