Georgia State Route 293

Banner Route: GA  293 Connector

SR 293 is a route of significant enough history that it justified an entire page dedicated to it.  After all, a highway commissioned entirely along the old alignments of US 41 and US 411 in Northwest Georgia has quite a bit of history to it.  The route has changed enough over the years that one of the endings of SR 293 Connector in Cassville is also historical endings of the main route as well.  With more to come, check out the highway end photos of SR 293.  To read more about SR 293, click here.  All photos were taken in 2003.

SR 293 Connector, originally US 41, SR 3, and a transition for SR 20 back to Old US 411 up until 1977, is a very short highway connecting SR 293 to US 41 in Cassville.  As no direct connection exists between US 411 and SR 293, the route exists in its place.  However, there are several other county roads that join the route besides this road.  The southern end was originally the northern end of SR 293 at SR 20.

Southern Terminus: SR 293 northwest of Cartersville

Northern Terminus: US 41/SR 3 in the Cassville community
