Existing as a road to the small towns of Dawnville and Eton, where the route
ends into US 411, SR 286 has a considerably scenic backdrop looking eastbound
with the Cohutta Mountains looming over 1,000 feet above Chatsworth and the
surrounding areas. Extending east beyond the eastern end of SR 286
is one of the most rewarding drives through the Cohutta Mountains along a
partially paved/partially gravel road along Holly Creek.

Terminus: US 76/SR 52 east of Dalton
Scenic backdrop of the Cohutta Mountains in the background. Note that
there is some ice on the top of the peaks.
The signs are all new, but the design used for the SR 286 marker is butt
ugly. Note that part of Northern Florida is now part of Georgia according
to the route marker.
The "Dawnville 3" sign here intrigued me more than the weird looking SR 286
marker.

I think the heat caused this film to blur a bit. Note the temperature
in the background.
