SR 26 continues west from joining US 80 at its final destination in Tybee Island, GA, but it unfortunately does not carry the route the rest of the way across Georgia, giving out in Dublin instead.
Eastern Terminus: Tybee Island (Official End of US 80)

The end of US 80 in Tybee Island is the official eastern end of US 80.  The first photo was taken before the route sign disappeared when I was there in July.  The last two photos were taken by me in July 2003.  There was no end signage visable on my trip.  Construction in the third photo is the likely culprit.  Photo credits are below.
