In today’s fast paced environment, time is precious and limited. In order to compete in this new environment a higher education is essential and priceless. However, earning a degree can be difficult to older full time working adults and parents. For instance, most full time employees work a minimum of 40 hours per week and may also be required to work overtime. The demands of a job can be very stressful and conflict with the demands needed to attend classes at a campus. Most nontraditional students attend classes at night after working a long day at work. This type of schedule leaves very little time for studying and completing the many assignments required. Single or married parents have to provide childcare not only during the day, but also at night in order to attend classes. This can get very expensive and also takes away a major part of quality time children need from their parents. Travel time in big cities to most universities can be very hectic because of traffic and time consuming. Parking can also be a dilemma depending on the parking system’s layout, which can also be very inconvenient. Online classes have become a good solution to the obstacles of earning a higher education.
