Hello, my name is Houda Haboub and I am from
Casablanca, Morocco. I have been in the United States for six years. I
have one twin brother; we moved to here together but he moved back home
four years ago, so it does feel lonely sometimes since all my family
lives in Casablanca. About two and a half years ago I met my husband; he
works for turner sports and he is addicted to sports and it drives me
crazy!
I am an International Affairs and language major; I
have always wanted to work in a field where I could have a lot of
interaction with people. I would love to work for the UN or in a field
that allows me to help immigrants, since I know how hard it is for
people for from other countries and cultures to adapt in a foreign
country.
I chose Kennesaw because I prefer smaller classes
and also because it is cheaper than other universities.
I went to High school in Casablanca. Unlike the
United States, in Morocco, students don’t really have a lot of
activities in school but people do participate in activities outside of
school. I attended a school that gave certifications in English because
in high school I only had one hour of English a week, which wasn’t
enough to help me speak English fluently. I also went to the beach
frequently because I lived ten minutes away.
Five years from now, I see myself hopefully with
masters in International Affairs and Spanish and being in the process of
working towards a PHD. In five years, I would love to have a son or
daughter or maybe twins.
