History of Cosmetics

 
Cosmetics have been used for centuries. Over the thousands of years that have gone by, these cosmetics have not changed much. There have been different fashions, but the same uses for make-up, hair and nail dyes, and perfumes. Women in many different cultures have created many different types of cosmetics for hair, skin, and nails. They use dyes to change the color of their hair and nails. Powders are used to help cover up lines and imperfections in the complection of the face.
Make-up these days are used by women everywhere to perfect the imperfections in their face, nails, and hair. Women use different types of make-up to exaggerate different bady parts. Eyeliner is used to exaggerate the eyes, blush to exaggerate the cheek bones and lipstick to exaggerate the lips. Fashion trends have gone from wanting pale skin 100 years ago to wanting to be tan and have darker skin.
