Biography:
My name is Derick Walden. I
am 19 years old. I am an only child. My mother is a special education
teacher and my father makes auto parts to sell to Dodge, Ford, and
Chevrolet. I attend church every chance I get and am a Christian.
I am from a very
small town in the mountains of North Georgia, where I attended
elementary school through high school. I played baseball all four years
and basketball my freshman year. I started on the varsity baseball team
for three years. When I turned 15, I began working at Carquest Auto
Parts, where I worked for three years selling and delivering auto
parts. After graduating high school in 2005, I quit the auto parts
store for an opportunity to work for a furniture store where I am still
working, selling and delivering furniture and appliances.

Team Role:
My role on the team is the research coordinator.
I am responsible for finding credible resources for myself, as well as
making sure my team members' resources are credible. Part of my
role is making sure all the references and citations are correct.
The research coordinator is a pretty important
part of the group. It involves careful attention to detail, and
can be very time consuming. I look forward to a great report and a
great time working with my team.
