Colie Dalton, Formal Report Writer
The Emus

My Biography:

My name is Colie Dalton.  I am a junior this year, and I have just transferred from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!!!).  My mission in life is to be successful in my carreer (make lots of money) as well as enjoy it.  I also want to be successful as a wife and mother someday.  I love to spend time with my boyfriend, Greg, and we enjoy walking at Kennesaw Mountain with his dog, Bradley. I also love shopping; I love to shop for everything and anywhere.  I have taken dance lessons since I was little and I currently teach combined classes of tap and ballet classes to preschoolers.  This has proved to be a large test of patience.  I can be very creative but I also like for things to be organized. I am also very adaptable to situations and my surroundings.  In other words, I can "go with the flow".
I do not have a declared major yet, but I'm pretty sure that it is going to be accounting.  I then plan on obtaining a master's in business administration.  I have worked in the office of Cooperative Exterminating Company doing secretarial work so I can orgainize and mutitask.  I have also worked at Cowboy's as a beer tub girl so I am fun and energetic.  This job called for me to work at a very fast pace and keep my "cool" under stressful situations.

My Team Role:

My role in this group project was the formal report writer.  I was in charge of writing and organizing the various parts of the paper.  I had to organize the research given to me by the lead researcher into a strucutred formal report about our topic.  To do this task effectively, I worked a lot in Microsoft Word and refered to our textbook to guide me in the format.  I was also in charge of making sure that the rest of my team members had a copy of the report at each stage of its progress, from the beginning body to the finished product.
This was a pretty large task and I am thankful that I had help from our strategic planner, Kristen Sturgill.  I made sure that everything was put together properly but she did a large share of the actual writing.  I also had some help from the lead researcher, Zach Johnson, and I would like to thank him for that and all the useful reasearch that he provided for me.  Our team was very helpful to each other.  We did not strictly stick to our assigned team role; each person actually had a part in every part of this project.
