Work Breakdown: The very first step I took to complete this assignment was gathered as much information as I could before beginning any work. When I had everything I needed I began by going to the designated website, copied and saved it as index.htm in a specified folder, I made for this project only, in my documents. I proceed to open notepad, where I had to change the file type I was looking for to, all files, in order to see and open the index.htm file. The file opened in html format. I carefully looked through the page to gain an idea of where things were located and then I used my html cheat sheet to begin making the specified modifications. This was a difficult step at first. You have to pay close attention to where every little symbol or mark goes. With one thing misplaced and you could change or ruin your whole document. After I made a few changes I saved the page and went to my documents to open the saved file to view the changes I had made. This process helped me to further understand the coding system and see where everything was located. Then I went back to notepad to continue modifying the page. I checked on my progress periodically to make sure I was making the right changes. Outside of the index.htm file, I opened a word document to write up my Personal and Professional Biography and also this step-by-step breakdown. I wrote these in a word document so I could save my work and to ensure correct spelling and grammar. Another item that I had to do outside of notepad was compose my resume, which I did in a document by itself. The resume is to be uploaded later along with the modified page and a picture. The picture is the third item that needs to be prepared outside of notepad. I went to my pictures and picked out a photo of myself and I placed it in the folder I designated for this project only. Along with the picture I saved my other documents in the folder I made for this project. The next thing I did was search different websites regarding, virtual teams. When I found two that I liked I copied there website links and pasted them into index.htm file in notepad. This created two external links within my webpage. Once all these steps were completed, I double checked to make sure I had modified everything and that I had gathered all the other documents that I would need to upload in my designated folder. The next step is publishing your webpage. The first thing you do to publish your webpage is to download the correct program, which is SSH Secure Shell FTP. I had to use my Kennesaw NetID in order to gain access to the program. Once you are in the program you will see the screen split in two and on one side it shows the contents of your computer and the other side shows your space on the Kennesaw computer/server. I uploaded the file by simply dragging it from one side (my computer) to the other and dropping it. After I uploaded the files, I opened a new tab in my browser and went to view my website. It was a long and sometimes tedious process but in the end it was interesting to see how a webpage was put together.
