Biography:

My name is Ben Magyer, and I’m a sophomore here at KSU. I’m currently a business major, but I will soon be switching to history. I figure that if I have to go to college, I might as well study something I love. Although I love history, my real passion lies with ultimate Frisbee. While attending KSU, I’ve changed from being a KSU hater to a KSU lover. I love playing “ultimate” for Kennesaw; it gives me a sense of purpose and integrity.
I attend class four days a week, work part time and still make some time for practice. This semester is rough with certain circumstances hindering the time I have to study and actually attend class. It seems all I do is work, school, work then school, but I can tough it out for one semester. Somehow, my grades have not even suffered and I’m proud of that accomplishment.

Team Role:

For this project, I am the digital video coordinator. I believe this is a good fit for me for several reasons. I do not write well, so I do not want to be in charge of the formal report. Being the web master is just not very interesting to me, so I would not do a quality job. I've been the group leader in college, and I did not like the predicaments that arise at the last minute which always forces me to do others’ jobs. Finally, digital video editor, that’s right up my alley.
I’m thinking this is a good fit for me because I find the process very interesting. I will be in charge of filming, editing, and fully completing the video. I have never worked with iMovie, and I enjoy working with new computer programs. Also, I have very limited experience on Macs, so this will give me a chance to learn more about software overall. After attending the special class for video editors and group leaders, I was really interested in the capabilities of this program. I plan on spending some time in the computer lab before the editing takes place, that way the process will go much quicker.
