Personal Information

              My name is Brett Dahlin, and I have grown up in the Marietta, East Cobb area for most of my life. I have always been one to believe that you become who you make of yourself, and you are not going to get far in life if somebody is always holding your hand. In my life I want to achieve a great number of things with the first being able to graduate in the next year to a year and a half, with a major in Management and a minor in Finance. After Kennesaw I want to go to law school and specialize in business law. My ultimate goal is to be accepted into Georgetown Law School, or the University of George Washington. After college I hope to work for a firm and one day open my own business consulting firm. I am a type of person who believes that if you put your heart to something and truly work hard every day at these goals, they will come true. I think that I am a type of person who is very good skill, and a hard work ethic. Every job or school projects I have every worked in I have received rewards or been complimented many times on how well I work and the job I do. One job I had even begged me to stay with a doubling of my hourly wage, just to stay a couple days a week. I think that say a lot about a person, if you are not going to give 100% effort when you work, then what is the point? I think I have the ability to work well with others and give everyone a chance, but I am not one to sit back when a problem arises. I try to confront what is going on and, get back to work. I think one of my best abilities is to get over things real fast, if something happens I forget about, so it does not affect the rest of the personal or business relationship. In my life I want to be a person who is not afraid of trying new things, and waiting for someone else to do it first. I want to live life to the fullest so that every goal of mine comes true, from going to law school, to my new goal to be able to go scuba diving by the Great Barrier Reef this summer.

Professional Information

       When I was in high school I started my first job at Abercrombie and Fitch at Town Center Mall. I worked there for 3 years and it made me know how to deal with customers on an everyday basic. Getting to know that everyday action or facial expression can have its affect on a person. Once I graduate I had a few different jobs, but right now I work at Marlow’s Tavern, near Kennesaw State. I serve tables every Friday and Saturday night and a couple days during the week if school does not take up too much time. I think that serving tables is a way that people can become adjusted to the business world because you are always dealing with different backgrounds all the time, and sometime you just have to bit your tongue so you don’t say something you may regret. Working with people for all my jobs has taught me communication is an important aspect. I feel that I speak clearly and get my point across very well. I also feel I have good leadership skill which helps me in my work and school environment. If you not one to speak up and share your thoughts, or be one to step up when something arises you are not going to be affected. I also feel that my application skill are pretty good, in which anything I am taught I learned pretty fast. That is why I took on the website coordinator because if I do not understand something, I will look it up and learn, for an example html code. I think all my skill will help me be an effected website coordinator , because communication, leadership and application all are in the process of doing anything that will go out on to the web. I also think that with my skills if someone does not fulfill their part of the group that I can easily step in and help
