Personal Biography:
I aspire to one day be able to travel all over the world. I would like to experience different cultures and see amazing places that have made it into our history books. My main goal is to one day own my own business. I have great work ethic, I work very hard to reach my goals, and I am now proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. I love being able to make my own decisions for my own company. I help with making some business decisions at my job today. I have many great ideas to help improve things in any business to cater to its employees and clients. I would like to intern for a business that deals with restaurants, such as Raving!Brands.
Professional Biography:
When I first pulled up the original text document to edit, I almost cried. There were letters, numbers, and symbols everywhere, but I took a deep breath and began. I first found the title to change it to my own name instead of BISM – Project Webpage. I was a little confused at first because I changed the title, but it was not the correct one. I changed the title of the file, not the title of the web page. I corrected my mistake and went further one to add an extra tag to the Title to make it Bold. Using the html codes at first was extremely confusing, but I eventually got the hang of it. My favorite, and the most useful cheat sheet was www.fortunecity.com. It was very easy to read and was organized to my liking. I then changed the background color to bright pink. It is girly, and bright. It may not be the most professional, but it definitely catches your eye. I could not find the hyperlinks at first, but they were right next to the background color. I changed the hyperlinks to black, and the visited links to a light gray. There were three links to be changed in the text document. Two led to external links, and one led to a link within the web page. The two external links I changed to an economics website, and a website about Italy. I chose and economics website because I love economics and contemplated whether it should be my major or not, but I decided that it suits me better as a minor and business management would be a better major. The opportunity field seems wider for a business management major. I chose the website about Italy because Western Civilizations fascinate me. I would love to travel all over the world and I have been to Italy once. I cannot wait to revisit Italy as it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The internal link travels to my resume. I did not have a resume up until this assignment. The only things that I have accomplished so far are being in many clubs throughout high school and college, and honors programs as well. I used Microsoft Word’s Resume Wizard to complete my resume. Finally, we were supposed to change the Personal and Professional Biographies to our own. I then wrote about my goals and aspirations as a person and as a student. This project was very hard and tedious, but I am happy with what I have done and what I am able to do now. I used the SSH to help me create and publish my three files; my picture, my web page, and my resume. The program was easy to use and effective.
