Hi! My name is Adrienne Yockey. I was born and raised in Ohio. I graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School with a diploma and earned a vocational certificate for Early Childhood Education from Buckeye Career Center. I moved to Georgia two years ago for college.
Like most people my age, I have changed my mind many times over about what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My first career choice was to be a chef. My second choice was to be an elementary teacher. While I am no longer pursuing these career paths, I still have skills related to them. I am a very good cook. I know how to create lesson plans and theme units for classes, as well as CPR.
I have been working since I was sixteen. I have worked with many people who believe that it doesn't matter how hard they work at their job, they're still getting a paycheck. However, I believe that hard work isn't rewarded with money, or even a grade, it is rewarded with a good reputation. That is why I try to do my best at my job and with school. Hard work can't hurt, it can only help you.
I am currently employed at Arby's. I started working there two years ago and am still a team member. I do have to exercise my communication skills on a daily basis in my job, whether it is with my coworkers, with management, or with customers. Currently, I am working towards becoming a team trainer. As team trainer, my duties would be to train new employees and keep track of their files and progress on the job. I think my communication skills and organizational skills will help me as formal report coordinator, in keeping tabs with my team on their portions of the report and then using their information to make our report.
