General Information on Social Networking The old fashioned way of social networking is quickly becoming extinct. Leaving our offices and homes, to meet personal and business networks is evolving into something you can now do from your home or office. Not only is this a way of networking it is becoming the "norm". To many people this a new and exciting type of technology that is creating buzz around social networks. Although, there are great sites to create new connections, they also come with some dangers. Problems Facing Social Networking Many of the problems facing these social networks is about privacy. In networks like My-Space, Facebook, and Ajc Jobs.com personal information is needed in order to create a profile. Putting all this information out there creates predators. Another problem that these online sites create is it makes a person an almost self proclaimed loner. Kids and even adults spend more time at home all by themselves creating networks instead of going out and making connections face to face. This tends to deteriorate communication skills. Some Solutions An obvious solution for preventing predators from being able to get others information is tighter security. Clients information should only be able to be viewed by the client and the network. Now others are able to view other clients every move with a wall posting that is able to be viewed by every friend on the network. Making these moves more private would be a step in the right direction. Out society is growing in technology everyday. This does create a general problem for creating communication skills. Although there is no real specific solution for this problem there are several recommendations one being a more virtual reality group setting.
