What’s going on?
For this assignment we are discussing online social networking and its involvement in the business world. We will be discussing social networking uses and newly trending popularity in all aspects of the business world. Throughout our formal report we have included at least three social networking websites and their involvement in the world of business. We have also included three areas of business that are successfully using online social networking in everyday management. There are many other aspects involving online social networking. We have also discussed many positive things and negative things involving the use of social networking.

What it is? In short online social networking is a network of many different people that can be used for many things whether it is advertisement or peer to peer review. It is a very productive and easy way to find out information or transfer information to other colleagues in a matter of seconds. Since the up roaring MySpace and FaceBook, there has been an increasing number of people using these online networks for not only personal antics, but also business development. Trying to figure out why Google might spend one billion plus dollars on YouTube, a video incorporated social network, is a very complex and mind boggling question. Beside the fact that in only three years, the age group and number of users of online social networks has increased in such ways that it would be detrimental not to invest in such a rapidly growing trend. This increasing trend has led to more space for advertising and plenty of opportunities whether it is for a career or life changing event online social networking has made a place for it.

What can we use it for? Online social networking can be used for many things. We actually use social networking everyday and don't even realize it. We have many examples including MySpace, YouTube, Monster jobs, and even facebook. These sites are used daily by many people. Many companies have begun to use social networks such as the above for advertising. These companies have used valuable research in order to pick up on the latest trends. These trends being online social networking. Monster jobs uses online social networking to provide job opportunities and match employees with employers. This networking is taking place all around us and will soon be more apart of our lives than we realize. We believe that social networking is a great way to communicate between peers and transfer information in a matter of seconds.
