Biography

I was born on March 20, 1984 in San Diego, California to James and Ruth Todd.  My brother James is five years older than me, and was also born in California. When I turned four, my father was offered a job in Washington, D.C., so we moved to Woodbridge, Virginia.  I grew up in a modest home, spending my days with my mother (a stay at home mom) until I turned five and began kindergarten at Dale City Elementary.  When I was in first grade, my mother gave birth to my younger brother, Channing (a family name).  When I turned ten, my father was transferred to Atlanta, Georgia. I began my fifth year of elementary school in a new class, the teacher and all the students were new to the school and the area.  Needless to say, my class stood out like a sore thumb, but I pulled through it. I began my junior high years at Lost Mountain Middle School and stayed there for three years.  Due to an overload at Harrison High School, I was forced to spend my freshman year at Lost Mountain Middle School.  While in high school, I ran track for three years, running the 300 hurdles, 110 hurdles, 100 and 200m sprint, and the 400m relay.  I also joined various clubs (Interact, Habitat for Humanity, Spanish Club, Beta Club, Socrates Club, Drama Club, FCA, First Priority, GFG), contributed to various charity and community events, and worked part time for the Northwest YMCA. I managed to graduate with a 3.9 GPA and honors.

After graduation, I became a nursing major here at Kennesaw State University.  My talents in life really came into play in college.  I began working with my church, West Ridge, using the gift of exhortation as a leader in a bible study with high school students.  This summer I plan on attending classes to earn a certificate in specialization of sports conditioning, which will adhere to my future.  Among my years at Kennesaw State University, I have managed to change my major at least five times in the past two years.  After much debate with my conscious, I have decided to major in Sports Management with a concentration in Recreational Management.  I hope to graduate in the Winter of 2005 and work as the Recreational Director at a Christian camp.  After schooling and some time in the work force, I hope to receive a masters in outdoor recreation and leisure studies, to aid in a higher salary.

Team Role

I will be the video presentation lead for Cinco Team.  This position requires me to have a digital camera in order to record the groups well thought out, carefully researched, and organized professional presentation. This will be a detailed presentation outlining the key importance of the group's research on pay equity software.  The video presentation will include detailed slides and speakers, while including the final slide providing credits, sources, and Cinco team member's names.  Together, everyone in the group will go to the PTD lab to edit the video picking out their favorite shots. Once the presentation is edited and checked by the group, I will upload it onto the teams home web site, where the public can view it.

I will also be in charge of notifying each team member of meeting times. I will do this by posting the meeting times on WebCT. I will decide what each meeting will consist of and all that will need to be discussed including the deadlines for the next meeting.  I will also read over the formal report and help make suggestions if needed.  I am also in charge of my own website and making compliment the team's website. But of course my biggest part in the team is making sure the filming and the editing is complete for review.
