Answers To
Frequently Asked Questions

The question was: How do I setup my account so I can put up my own web pages?

Answer: Your account has been setup with a html folder. If you ftp to students.kennesaw.edu and login and still cannot see a html folder in your home directory. Then you can simply create the folder by clicking the "Mkdir" button on the right side of the window in WS-ftp. A box which prompts you for a folder name pops up. In this box you MUST enter html. If you fail to create the html folder your page will not show up once you published the pages. The next steps are to build a web page and then publish that web page to your account.

You may find the brochure titled "Publishing A Web Page In Your Students Account" to be beneficial. You may obtain a copy of this brochure from the Information Technology Services' Computer Lab located in BB475.
